Syrja
Industrial, ambient and experimental combinations of both. I received the Birds Of Winter tape quite recently and haven't had the chance to play it more than once yet, but based on that listen it varies between synth ambient and more rustling type of textural and nature-influenced noise. I understood the Nature Cremation CD-R would be closer to industrial and noise, but I'm waiting to receive it in the mail before properly diving into it. It can be heard online though:

Those into checking Finn noise have again opportunity for couple new compilations!
V/A SUOMI LIVE ACTION - tape on American label has assorted live shows from Finnish acts. Didn't yet listen to it, but I'd assume its decent quality sound? Line-up nice!

V/A "MODERN AXIETY" tape. You would think there could be shortage of finding new names you have not heard as comp CD series like Kolari and Terässinfonia has covered... what is it.. soon 100 names from Finland?! Still this comp is pretty much solid harsh noise offering and has some bands you have not heard from those compilations!  Tyhjiø, Isä kosminen, Savage Gospel, Neandertaal, Slave Chain, Boredom Knife, Pissfront, Bodybag Experience..

Kurluk - Inner Demoni

Harsh Noise. I have been listening one of our swedish neighbour and lots of japanoise. And of course black metal.

Made small run of tapes for the next weeks Merzbow and Sähkön Tuoksu gigs.

As I type I'm having my very first Circle Of Shit experience, in the form of True Love Electronics.

What a ride! Lovely solo piano to harsh-ass screech within a split second.

A lot happens in this 44min. Quite a varied palette. Quiet, loud, slow, fast, sparse, dense.

And yet it flows! I think.

The ending is epic. Am I hearing Monteverdi here? 😂 A wonderful close.

Circle Of Shit, you have my attention!

Good tape! Side two wasn't that special to me except for Neandertaal's tape noise rot, but side one was, as said above, solid yet varied. Especially Bodybag Experience, CRE and Slavechain, none of which I had heard before. Label bandcamp HERE.

I bought it from the show. MNEM, too.

Both LP's will be listed at FA store tomorrow. Delivery in Finland was exceptionally slow and took more than week to get the stuff.

Maybe I mentioned only in Finnish, that new Kylmäkovamaa tape came out! As always, self published by artists but apparently distributed only by Freak Animal. New tape is really nice, somewhere between old Incapacitants and "classic F&V sound", high pitch screaming and harsh frequencies all the way.

Very good tape! Rough and crude material that's sometimes more free-from noise and sometimes more rhythmic primitive power electronics. Has live and heat of the moment feeling. Can't wait to see Kurluk live at this year's Harsh Ways Fest!

Näsiä - Purppurasuo CD

Live recordings from the same event but different years.

2025 recording opens and it's just excellent. Rural industrial of marshland tape loop variety if that makes sense. Easy comparisons for a bonehead like me would be Altar Of Flies and even Nurse With Wound but without being weird on purpose. If that makes sense. Atmospheric and captivating.

2024 recording gets unfortunately overshadowed by the newer one but it's interesting nonetheless. Yet it really shows how a project can grow and sharpen its vision in one year.

KURLUK "Inner Demoni" tape got mentioned above. Compliments also from here!

TOTUUS-YHTIÖ "Kaapatut" tape. Feedback howling, spoken parts heard below, rough noise recordings. Not noisecore like some guys were saying before. Especially b-side is more like old power electronics tape scene stuff.
