Today been revisiting some of the old ACL stuff. This project has been appreciated by several people I know, but nevertheless remained far in depths of industrial network.

One of the early highlights. I rate also Satanic Verses rather high. I know band leader hasn't been too keen on reissuing old works that feature also other members. This is live recording in radiostation and besides Elden M, there is guys from Carbon 14 and Big City Orchestra. To me, this is perhaps the crucial element what makes material work so well.
There is that flowing -actual performed- (as opposed to "edited") feel to all material. Abundance of loops, samples, physical and sampled sounds. At times it is almost sound collage, but then proceeds into forward going intense industrial noise loop rhythms spiced up with tons of small things happening.

This 1989 tape is less exciting moment in ACL discography. Perhaps simply because it's so much more musical recordings. Between good industrial tracks, you got other pieces what would go well to Some Bizarre label compilation with some bass & beats type of stuff. It's not totally foetus type of stuff, though. However, easily the least interesting title of all what I have heard.
But this did not mark any permanent direction.
Follows Satanic Verses (Nihilistic Recordings), Demimonde Voices (G.R.O.S.S.) which are really good tapes. There are handful other between which should revisit sometime soon.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXVReJg50hoIn 1994 ALC did his first and only CD release, which to me, always seemed like odd CD. It has lot more clean keyboard works. Perhaps more "professional" production, but less hectic, less interesting soundworks. And then after this, followed releases that were far more noisier. Even to qualify as
noise. Always maintaining the diversity of sounds, so never entirely harsh.
Probably missing couple tapes in my collection. It wasn't long ago when you could still get some of the original tapes from Sound of Pig and various distributors.
Feelings? And anyone catching the very latest ACL stuff or live gigs?
