Very glad to see new re-issues of very very hard to find Russian industrial tapes being re-issued. I recall I have some of the stuff on CDR, but my experience with several of early 2000's CDR's from Russia has been that they no longer work.

COD Noizes label did already back in 2015 best of collection of early works. Future Bygone CD is half the industrial noise, with fierce edge to it. Half if gloomy and atmospheric industrial. Clearly for this compilation they picked up many of the hits, from nearly MILITIA style industrial pieces, to almost GENOCIDE ORGAN type of heavy punishing simple electronic pulses. And then on edge of melodic atmospheric music.  It's diverse, yet almost safe compared to recently issued full length tape re-issues!  No less than 5 CD releases, one of then double CD.

Yesterday, listened 6 CD's of Six Dead Bulgarians in one sitting, thinking why this material has not been talked much? Ultra label related gets deserved respect, yet even during years when Russian industrial was fairly hot and interesting phenomena more widely than it seems to be now, I don't remember much talk about this obscure project!

Perhaps introduction isn't that much needed, but those interested in fairly crude industrial-noise, with twist of experimental/atmospheric, etc. I would strongly recommend to check out their works!

Oh! I recently got a split 7'' w/ Six Dead Bulgarians and neo-folk band Moon Far Away, on which they put a sparse sort of experimental electronic beat over an old Russian folk song. It was quite nice, but didn't exactly hint at this pedigree.
Just looking at their discogs page, and I see they took quite a break after these early works, and presumably changed style a bit, too.

Stupid name I've never noticed before (does it refer to something specific?). Listening to that album from '95 & it's not what I was expecting based on the name. Figured it'd be all-out harsh noise. I like the metal percussion going on...

For the first link, I liked the percussion tracks the best & the one synth-whispered vocals track. The rest, not all that interesting.
