What do you guys use for a reverb pedal? I got an Earthquaker Devices Astral Destiny right now but there's only a couple settings on it where you can get darker reverb sounds. In the past I've used a Holy Grail which worked well. I've also just used the reverb effect settings that were already on my Behringer mixer. But that's about it. Could use some recommendations if anyone has any. I make death industrial type stuff so I'm looking for darker sounds.

Eventide Space and Boss RV-6 all day! Covers all reverb needs, from totally spaced weirdness to more traditional reverbs (and delay). Also tried the cheap Zoom ones, but they are a bit too "advanced" with display/menus which I hate... I want a knob for direct access to tweaks. For spring reverb emulation try Malekko´s pedals, almost as good as a real spring.

Seems like I will speak for a budget segmnent in this thread :)

Sonicake Levitate as a pure play delay/reverb pedal

Zoom G1 Four as a multi-effects processor that has several digital reverbs and even more delays and echoes (including some niche stuff that I hope I will find use for one day such as phased delay or slow attack delay)

Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master. My job is dispatching for a bus company, so I bought it half as a joke, but it has nice built in delay and repeat functions.

KillToForget

Modtone Coliseum- straight to the point, a few different options, and cheap

Commander15

I used to use a EHX Holy Grail Plus, but i've found that i prefer natural room reverb so much more.

MALAISE57

I use a cheap one called Flamma Reverb. I'm a poor student so.. yeah :-) It does the trick though.

Cementimental

I like cheap Zoom multi-fx pedals and rackmounts for mediocre reverb.

I disagree. The interface / menus are horrible and the sound quality is so-so at best. For the price you pay it is OK, but damn those menus. Yes, I am a knobhead.

the menus are terrible and the new interface that should be easier sucks even more, but they are very portable and a good powerhouse especially for lo fi stuff.

for filthy stuff I used a lot tyhe schizodelay 2 (which I'm currently selling since I no longer use it).

for cleaner stuff eventide, the rv 6 (and previous versions), anything from drolo (that goes beyond the simple delay concept) and a few more.

Zoom G series is much friendlier than MS I think, in terms of interface with very easy on-the-go switching (and even re-arranging) of up to five effects. This is the one I use. Agree quality of reverb may be not as good as dedicated reverb pedal, but price to qualtiy ratio is quite good, and once you run everything through overdrive pedal, it all evens out:

Highly recommend.
