Der Stürmer / Hammerskins / Compilations Of 90's:

Here we have a 1992 single, then a 1994 album, then various 1994-1997 tracks.

This starts intensely: The sound of a guy being strangled, then a wall of static. The B-side is also an intense, pulsating synth heavy affair. Best single yet imho.

After a bit of "singing" the album starts with quite a head rush: I think someone recorded a tornado. What a beautiful, breathtaking, filthy wall.

Erm...and then the opera? No! It's eaten by some kind of gigantic machine. This 68min CD is the rawest of the 4...so far...

Mr Xane chimes in every now and then with a slogan or two. But (thankfully) he lets the Noise take the front seat.

Another wall follows. Snippets of unintelligible voices float in the mix. Vomir would blush at this one.

And then, I think a Diplodocus is attacking cavemen (I know they didn't coexist) during a hurricane. This LP fucking rules.

Nazi song snippets appear here and there.

The last track of the LP (and track 7 of 13 on this CD) continues this dark mood with another wall of rumble and a hi-pitch on top. What a thrill so far. A brilliant single / LP. Can the 6 other tracks sustain this arc?

Erm...not quite! 😂 There's some good shit here. Some compelling sounds and mood. More vocal / sample heavy stuff. Hitler shows up.

But how can selected / various tracks be expected to sustain this journey? This CD is half "bonus tracks".

Well, this 4hr20min ish Streicher journey was fantastic for me. (How about you?) 😂

I think 90% of it was great work, including one 45min LP, that, imho is Monumental: An overlooked Masterpiece.

There's a lot of Nazi snippets, art, titles here, but that does not mean that Mr Xane is a fucking Nazi. I think a review of his interviews dispels such silly notions. Ok, Discogs?

In industrial music and noise too, I think we are above to discussion that operates on level of lazy accusations. Especially these days, its totally irrelevant is someone nazi, if the word covers just about everything.

In noise culture, I would rather approach this question what kind of nazi someone is. hah. When someone looks at the figures who usually gets stamped such thing, you'll find the veterans of industrial movement, power electronics originators and so on and on. Those people, plus labels who publish such stuff or distribute such stuff mostly appear as guys who are open mindedly interested in all thing... interesting? Most of them also appear as most avid critics of state control, censorship and totalitarian tendencies in present times. So if they indeed appear as critics of totalitarianism and control, what kind of nazis they are? For me, this is far more interesting question than just lumping all sorts of eccentric interests under one label that most can not understand what it really even means, except knowing it is all things they hate and fear.  In that sense, also good substance for indusrial culture to dive into.
