Put this tape out a couple of months ago, and still have a few copies available.
Extreme electronics meets post-industrial malaise on this split between Blunt Force Head Trauma and TILES. The harsher side opens with a short rhythmic industrial section, before fully opening your corporeal body. Aside from the potentially incidental naming connection, Blunt Force Head Trauma produces similarly lacerating, Jonathan Canady-esque high end, interspersed with synth passages. These are reminiscent of the dirges found on some Hospital Productions material, or as if scoring a slow motion shot in some contemporary war flick.
TILES' side contains a much eroded composition, systematically retread over a number of months. The confessional tone is much more apparent here. Lush chords are suffocated by the limitations of tape, and make way for field recordings documenting the outer edges of society. The semiotic violence is all too apparent.
These two live sets recorded in 2020 are presented in their entirety, now available on cassette tape. Edition of 46 on upcycled cassettes with xeroxed card inserts.
