C10s, C7s, "Cassingle"

A c10 seems dumb but a  7" is basically the same length (for the most part). Still, I think I'd rather do a c20 than a c10. I don't think I've ever recorded two five minutes pieces & thought they'd be great for a tape release.

I may consider that in the future. Maybe a series of c10's limited to 20 copies each & the buyer must subscribe to the series in advance. Each subscriber gets original artwork that is inscribed with vulgarities along with other odds n' ends...

I have a small box of C1 and C2 chrome(!) tapes somewhere, maybe i should start a super kvlt micro-label, or maybe just do a ridiculous edition-of-one box set.

C20 really seems to be the format most noise-folks gravitate towards, here are some shorter efforts that work well for me...

Weak Sisters - Slow Fire (Ekhein, 2008) - C10 - perfect dose of Weak Sisters cuts and stabs, probably the tape I go back to most, whenever I put this on, I have this stupid grin on my face, great minimal artwork as well

Without Belonging - S/T (Monorail Trespassing, 2005) - 2xC10 - beautifully packaged, not necessarily as good as the "Solace" tape from the following year but works regardless

The Cherry Point - Dark Sanctions (Throne Heap, 2006) - C10 - hard to believe but the Cherry Point does work well when administered in small doses, mostly have downloads of the older material but there are a lot of interesting examples of short tapes, biz cards etc.

Ahlzagailzehguh ‎– Problems With Preventive Medicine (Hospital Productions, 2005) - C10 - great way of getting a taste of Ahlz, cut up noise seems to work very well in this format since it allows for making things sound "rounded out" in a way
