I recall there may be other topic of this kind, but as I don't see it here, lets go for new.
Talking with several friends about the absence of good witty, funny noise. Witty is not perhaps the absolutely best word here. There is a difference of being just retarded and not creative in any way. Looking and listening things like FLYING TESTICLE or THE GEROGERIGEGE - especially 7" called Kitanomaru Hyakkei, one may get what I mean:

One could perhaps mention things like Evil Moisture and such. Where you can see that it's not like one laugh joke, but there is creative and talented angle to it. Both sound and the presentation. Being odd, bizarre, but in sort of amusing way. Perhaps even Smell & Quim could be lumped into this type of category.

Question would be - if there is such material now. Where? Done by whom? If any examples from last few years?

I am very very biased in this case, but I think anything Stewart Skinner has been involved in has had a funny and sometimes even witty side to it. A varied body of work too, ranging from very subtle field recordings to wild unpredictable harsh noise. I'm admittedly very involved in many of his previous doings, but the concepts and the vision was always his. I think you could randomly pick anything from his labels The Gift Of Music and We Are One, and it would be a good example.

Some choice picks:

Gonna throw Yol in the mix. Have not heard a whole lot but what I have heard is leftfield yelling and vocal acrobatics with rudimentary noise rumble.
Entertaining and definitely tongue in cheek.

Man, if there was a noise hall of fame (settle down, Francis), JHodges would have to be in it.

Rotat has a great sense of humor.

It may be little less evident in some of the recent releases. I recall the first Rotat tape I got, tape box was painted brown, and covered with aluminium foil. It was meant to look like chocolate bar.  If I do not remember incorrectly, he told project was influenced by: Odal, Taint and Smell & Quim. All great, very unlikely name dropping! That's what Rotat has. I don't know if it is always witty - but perhaps! Sometimes it is disguised to be the sort of low iq scum noise. Picking up the absolute worst and most miserable celebrity news, ordeals of society's most retarded populations and spicing it with odd pictures of rotten food products or trapped rodents captured from his house. If is definitely not "dark scum noise", but also whether it is funny - is perhaps shadowed sometimes by the pitch black humor.
New shirt is definitely amusing. Just comic frame of rabbits fighting. It may be surprise for those who used to lay-outs of labels who didn't include much of his twisted humor in the recent album covers...?

Although a bit off-topic, speaking of GEROGERIGEGE and the visual work of Nicola Vinciguerra, instantly came to my mind this short comic inspired in Gero, written and drawn by Rudolfo:

After hearing Smell & Quim and Evil Moisture via this site, I was inspired to start recording using my Sanyo Talkbook to capture samples, loops and sounds. It's not harsh or overly saturated, but it's 100% tape with no additional editing or effects.

Whether it's good, witty or funny is up to whoever is listening. Still finding my feet with this, and there's no specific, coherent theme to the tracks as these were all just improvised pause button experiments from various sources.

I'm pretty fond of Mallard Theory.  https://bandcamp.com/mallardtheory
Also I have found some rather amusing stuff through Placenta Recordings.  There is a bit of odd hip hop type stuff mixed in but a good amount of interesting noise too.

And maybe it's not the same kind of "funny" that you are looking for but I always have a good chuckle when I listen to Candy Ricotta Fuck You Pay Me.

I'm not sure how obvious it is to this crowd, but Breakdancing Ronald Reagan is still one of the few humorous, deliberately dumb projects that I unironically enjoy without charity.   His maelstrom of crazy bullshit turns into a form of ecstatic surrealism sometimes, and when it doesn't, it's very effective harsh noise.   I recommend this one, but also his split tape with Whitey Alabastard.  Now his project SUNK COST is straight harsh noise, and also stands up with the best, in my opinion.

A caterpillar that goes around trying to rip the wings off of butterflies is not a more dominant caterpillar, just a caterpillar that is looking for a bigger caterpillar to crush him.  Some caterpillars are mad that they will never grow to be butterflies.

Was talking about this with a friend a few days ago. Well, not especially about fun in noise but rather that the genre of noise must seem pretty dark or negative too outsiders, and while some projects that are posted here like S&Q, Fecalove and maybe even Whitehouse have their way of humorous intent, the humor is often pitch black or hypersexual and will fly over the heads of those not known to the intricacies of noise or dark humor. On the other side of there are these projects that take humor to ridiculous levels being either being over the top, dumb or being lost in the absurdity of dada - Cock ESP, BRR, Gero, FCKING'BSTRDS etc. - but there doesn't seems to be a lot in between? Something that is funny or at least makes you smile, without the need for it to be ridiculous or heavy.

Our conclusion was that only really those in Asia are making this kind of noise, looking at MSBR, Incaps and CCCC, or take the Bising noise documentary. While their noise may not have fun as (main) intent, there is something of joy that is pouring out their music that rarely seem to be apparent with EU or USA noise. Only project I can really think now not from Asia that also has this vibe is Sissy Spacek, but what else is there?

Maybe AMK?  There seems to be a fun weirdness surrounding at least some of his work.
