We aren't splitting hairs on this one. If its old school industrial-noise, PE, nasty shit, postmortem, whatever. Labels existence probably one way or another made PE scene to be what it is.

Early 80's distributor of tape underground, possibly first importing the rarities of UK power elecronics into USA. Importance as distributor, but also handful of own releases including The New Bloackades, Metgumbnerbone, etc.
*Afflict Records
Home label of Japanese project S*Core, which hardly ever got connected to uprise of Japanese-noise. Their more industrial approach tied labels releases closer to various PE distributors and industrial labels. Mostly tapes, but also classic 7" debut of S*Core.
*Ajna Offensive
Label specializing to obscure elite. With releases of Deathkey, Taint, Ultra, and few others, but then again plenty of black metal.

obscure label from Belgium, with releases of power electronics/noise and black metal. Taint/Grunt split LP, Nothingisttrue, Terg, Dapnom and more.

ex-SFCR. Mr. Santini moved from france to usa and put out intense batch of releases with special packaged items of OVMN, Con-Dom, Slogun, Radiosonde and Skincrime. Hard to find titles since they came out.

Label that released great noise, pe and ambient recordings. For PE listeners essentials would be for example: Söldnergeist debute tape, suffocating and dark Drape Excrement LP, excellent Advokat Ihere Hoheit LP and of course Einleitungszeit LP!

One of the most important German distributors with huge selection of PE amongst other stuff. Label died together of its owners, but it was important for many of the smallest UG labels to get their stuff around. Artware Audio catalogues are still great resources for releases of the time. Releases included Sigillium S, Entre Vifs, Sat Stoicizmo and more!

One of the infamous german labels, becoming one of the best selling cult publishers. Very specific discography focusing on various projects of the owners themselves. From gloomier dark electronic industrial-dark wave November Növlet, into the main project Haus Arafna to the most rawest analogue PE works of Subminal. And discography includes more. Elegant design, high quality presentation and sewere analogue obsession.

English label, who describes themselves as punk label. Even if there isn't really punk releases (musically speaking). Since 1997 label has released various types of material, from best of Japanese noise to important UK bands, to international fames.
