Some of these CD-boxes have been sitting on my shelf for a while. Over the last few days I finally had some time to listen to them. In general; the vastness of the material is a bit overwhelming but overall great archive material with simple designs, additional booklets and another plus; they aren't expensive. This time I focussed on the lesser known (to me) composers from Belgium; Henri Pousseur, Joris De Laet, André Stordeur and Léo Kupper. The last one reminded me of Nurse with Wound while listening to a fragment before ordering but while listening to the 3 cd's I got really annoyed by the vocal samples. Will be a while before I revisit. The other 3 are holding up really well. Noisy, chaotic, atmospheric but maybe a bit too academic for some. To me it's crazy how fresh and radical some of this material from the 50s, 60s & 70s sounds. Will dig in deeper soon!
