Koldvoid is one man project stated as ghost ambient by Sun&Moon Records. Additionally there is onformation about Transylvania as the land that project comes from.
After reading those i was afraid of blindly played casio ambient with silly stories behind to create quite mystic aura. fortunaetelly i was very wrong. I dont know previous stuff from Koldvoid yet one of title "cabin fever" is connected to previous album it seems. I mentioned this track because this one is my favourite on "wildnerness". Parts of bells sound for me closly to Arvo Parta's love towards such sound of bells. Koldvoid isnt yet only about minimalism. Listener has a chance not only for it, they are plenty of synthetic beats, occassionally sound of bass guitar which gives percussion section as whole (beats + bass), it brings atmsophere of goth rock . Summing it all up i think calling this music ghost ambient, or dark ambient is not right description, i think it's completly missing. For me it's way closer to electro noir because this kind of description way better describe the sounds on the album. Around rhytmic tracks there is also such track as "concrete utopia" that brings enviromental sounds. Rhytmic figure in it sounds as dumpster flap on a wind. From the other hand we got "presence" that is almost like a song from Music Box. And whats the most interesting all this doesnt bring us coldness but mostly foggy and quite dark atmsophere. I say" noir electro
