I'm starting up a long-term writing project on Noise as well as related and adjacent styles of both non-melodic and melodic experimental and underground sounds called The Nocturnal Library. The idea is to archive a growing collection of releases on tape and CD(r) from all decades starting with the 1980s, describe these with background info and photos as well as review them. For completion this will include as many releases as available per year, in order for any release to be possible to find regardless of whether it's necessarily the highlight of a project. My aim is to build a dedicated site for The Nocturnal Library at some point, but for now I will use either private link or the possible social media to share the reviews with anyone interested.

The first review is pretty much finished, which is a review of first The Pump tape Just Want To Dance (1980) and is available to read here:
https://libraryofnight.blogspot.com/2023/07/1980-01-the-pump-just-want-to-dance.html

For editing and contribution purposes the document is available through Google Docs too:

I'm open for suggestions on what you would like to see within these texts as well as releases I should definitely get for the archive and review. So far I've heard positive sounds from people involved in the scene regarding my idea and previous writings so I hope you will also find this enjoyable and useful. I opened this topic so developments as well as a new posts from the project can be discussed with everyone who might be interested or would like to contribute.

Depending on the settings, google docs won't be visible without google account. At least now yours won't be visible without logging into google services.

For sake of simple and free of charge ways of posting content, I would encourage to take some sort of blog service. Blogspot? Tumblr? At least latter one became same sort of nuisance as social media. Erasing any posts where even modest nudity or "extremes" is found. Making it quite risky to use for industrial-noise posts with such material. If there is no such material, then those free blogs could be good alternative.

Those platforms would be better and easier to visit, navigate and search content, than posting file into google docs.

I understand, I've edited the post and made a start of a Blogspot page so the first review is easier to access now for everyone.

uh... seems like there is some new regulations at blogspot too. At least for me blogspot says content of this blog may be questionable and age verification is required to see the blog. Don't have blogspot account myself. This is exactly why I consider forums absolutely important still these days... or should I say especially these days. When even mild industrial releases are enough for restrictions, possibly removal / ban.

Again, I understand exactly what you mean and thanks for the help. I pretty much had to switch that message on to prevent Google from banning my page at some point but for now there's not yet anything particularly "explicit" in terms of artwork that I'll post on there. So I switched off that message. You're right , this forum is of course very important nowadays for Noise culture and the useless censorship of other media keeps on increasing only.
