Last winter, in the middle of the night, I obtained an incoming call from an unidentified recipient from Ecuador. This surprised me as the quantity of those who have obtained my phone number may be reckoned with with just one hand. On the other side of the line, an anonymous voice asked if I wanted to release a cassette with him and another artist. I responded without hesitation that I could do that. The following week, I got the master tape and was once again surprised it was a split release with Mo*Te, the other participant of the actual release.
Industria Masoquista is one of the better projects in harsh power electronics and has previously released split cassettes with well-established names such as The Haters, Macronympha and a debut release with Pain Jerk. Javier Riera, the engine behind Industria Masoquista, is no neophyte in the field. Industria Masoquista has been active in the noise/industrial scene since 1997. Javier Riera has performed alongside renowned artists such as Zbigniew Karkowski, Phroq(Francisco Meirino), Crank Surgeon, Tomas Beck, Bastard Noise, and many others. With over two decades of experience, Industria Masoquista continues to deliver powerful and immersive tracks in the realm of noise and industrial music.
Mastered by Emanuele Bonini at Audio Dissection, the cassette is limited to a mere 100 copies as usual.
