In Italy from today every shipping under 800$ is blocked.
I'm waiting a package from USA and I'm pretty worried now.
It's blocked in Los Angeles from one week now....

Ehhh that sucks... Hopefully this is something temporary. I've got two packages I absolutely have to mail out tomorrow that are both going overseas. It's my day off tomorrow and hopefully I won't have any issues at the post office.

I always mark packages as gift with a low value. Seems this will continue to work or not?

Dutch postal service now postponed all parcels for the US as well...

I think not. Some countries have other possibilities. I was told french post works closely with Fedex and German with DHL and they got systems for it, many other countries post works differently. Finn post is not accepting shipments to USA. Only paper letters/postcards.

I got now possibility to send stuff via fedex, but it is not yet installed into store. Got to send some "test packages" and make sure US customers know what they may be facing. At least fedex employees said there is no exempt from tariffs for anything. I don't want to start getting returns from other side of the world if orders are unclaimed etc...

I have recently shipped couple packages to USA with UPS and arrived without problems.

USA to here, Belgium, is same bullshit with taxes/vat like its since hmm 1-2 years or so (at least i never had to pay anything like that all the hmm 25 years before ordering there, just one time with a book from Sotos) always paying something (at least 20euro) but if don't find it in Europe it's still worth ordering or sometimes it would be available here much later and more expensive when ordering yourself even when having to pay tax/vat. But of course I understand distributors/labels have to make some profit.

Dutch postal system is sending packages to the US again. First packages a friend send out arrived without any trouble.

In my store, USA shipments are back. There is no letter mail, so basically all is FEDEX shipments, small box, like former letter was is 20 euro, big box, any size, 30 euro like it was before. So, of course, recommended to order big enough order that 30 euro shipping seems reasonable! In reality, of course, it doesn't require to be that heavy box that this flat rate shipping fee is much cheaper than I actually pay for.

This applies also for europe. Letter mail is nowadays about the same price as parcels, so there is no reason to really use letter mail.
Fedex appears to be fast and reliable, so could be step up in service and all that "where is my untraceable letter" confusion no longer...
