One of the noise albums that started 2026 off strong for me was +Dog+'s
The Family Music Book Vol. 4, which is a fantastic set of piercing synth shrieks and heavy, low end grinding---apparently all recorded live! I have a stack of other +Dog+ releases that are waiting to be listened to as well...
I realized, however, that there is no thread here for this long-running American noise project?
The lack of discussion and the apparent incompleteness of the Discogs listing (I see that some of the recent albums, at least, have not been added) leave me feeling curious as to what releases are considered favorites, as well as any other stories or thoughts that could be shared.
In my interactions with him, Steve Davis is a very exciting and extremely generous person. While he is obviously the main driving force in the project, the project also features the likes of Eddie Giles, Bobby Almon (Cut is a fantastic project---especially live!), and others.
