Cranial Blast

I spent the Sunday afternoon revisting some flicks from the past and one of which was the film Narc. It came out back in 2002. It's kind of a gritty urban crime drama, starring Jason Patric & Ray Liotta (R.I.P.). It was a very underrated film that doesn't get enough recognition in my opinion, felt like it had a strong depressive undertone as well. I forgot how emotionally impactful the last scene of the film was and best scene of Ray Liotta's acting career and again in my opinion, for what it's worth, but at any rate inspired me to write lyrics and start the template for a new track immediately. I was wondering if anyone else has come under such reaction immediately after watching a film where they felt compelled to act on straight away before the feeling dissipates with modern tasks that cloud visions of art!

Moran

None recently, but Brakhage's films inspired me when I was a young student. The Garden of Earthly Delights, Dog Star Man and so on.

Vrenndel

It would be hard for me to name a movie in particular that immediately gave me the inspiration to turn on my gear and start messing around, looking for a particular sound or pattern. On the other hand, though, I can get really inspired to write down fragments of lyrics or short texts while watching movies, or shortly after it. A dialogue, a scene, even a commentary does provoke it sometimes.  First ones that come to mind are Berlin Syndrome (2017), Dogtooth (2009) and Humane (2024) but the list is way longer of course.
