KRISTIAN OLSSON - Att vara där jag var innan jag var jag LP

Kristian Olsson should not need any presentation due to his work with Alfarmania, Blood Ov Thee Christ, Shock Tilt, Styggelse etc. On "Att vara där jag..." K.O presents ten cuts of oppressive industrial filth filtered through a unhealthy dose of intoxication, paranoia, depression and death. Comes with a A2 poster. Limited to 275 copies.

KÄLLARBARNEN - s/t 12"

This feedback loving duo from Gothenburg did a fierceful opening in 2009 with their uncompromising cassette on Gothenburg Blood Cult, a recording drenched in feedback and abuse. On this recording Källarbarnen is moving towards a more minimalistic and atmospheric sound, a bleak and dreary journey into the realms of suffocating isolation. Recorded directly to tape in June 2009. 5 tracks in 24 minutes.

Limited to 275 copies.

KRISTIAN OLSSON - Att vara där jag var innan jag var jag LP is such a great record. It's close to Alfarmania in sound and style but with a darker, distinct Nekrophile Rekords influence.
A prefect companion to The Call by Dieter Müh. I was listening to it the day before so I feel that I'm in occult vibe right now. The Call is also a really great record that very few speak of. Hmm, I guess that is a common thing with Dieter Müh. I think they have produced a string of stunning records that aren't so blunt in your face that a lot folks miss them.
Mnem is such a band also.

There is also a Kristian Olsson tape out on Styggelse called Paltkoma and HSKO is on a roll. Not as focused as the LP but still great. Limited to 60 copies so I guess it will be pretty hard to get...

Thank You.
Now I look forward to hearing Kristian LP even more!
It is a mystery why we/I are not mentioned too much, but we/I can operate on the outside. That's OK!

I got my copies of these today. Not sure I have time to listen to them tonight, but I will do so tomorrow at the latest. The look really nice with sturdy covers and nice black print. May even try to listen to KO in combination with The Call, as well. ;)

it's been really quiet about these vinyls...anyone?

I gave the KO LP a new spin this morning. I really like it! It is a lot more subtle and inobtrusive than Alfarmania usually is, although there are familiarities in the sound. The atmosphere of "Att vara..." is a lot more eerie and there's something occult or arcane about it. Reminds me somewhat of what little stuff from Nekrophile I've heard, but also a bit of Niellerade Fallibilisthorstar, atlhough less sparse than that. Great recording, in all aspects.

The Källarbarnen 12" is material I've heard before, as it was previously released in a small tape edition. I think the material is worthy enough of being released on vinyl, though. I find the combination of crude, minimalistic industrial noise and regular drums played very simply and monotonously refreshing.

The Källarbarnen 12" is so good! I've listen to it alot the last couple of weeks, one of my favorites. Haven't had a chance to give K.O a listen yet, looks good thou.

S2 of K.O.'s LP is really good. S1 didn't grab me at all on the 1st listen but seemed more interesting on the 2nd listen so I think it'll have to grow on me. S2 was strong on the way through. Artwork is solid too.

The KALLARBARNEN would be better without all the cymbals or whatever sounds like cymbals. Interesting but not my cup of tea. I do like it  that it's so different than so much of what's going on nowadays. Or maybe they're not invovled or aiming their work at the noise scene?  Was a relaxed listen after coming in from a day of trail-riding. Probably need to give it a few more listens soon.
