Regarding Grabbing of audio in Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
Sometime ago I was discussing BC and SC w some associates. According to one of the guys grabbing of audio from both channels is becoming an increasing issue. From what I understood the grabbing was simply executed with fex firefox add-ons. I have seen off late that I have become quite "famous" - HA! - in free download/ringtone sites. Much to my own irritation and machocistic amusement it is impossible to track down any contact info on these sites from where one can can contact and have the links removed.
So questions are ..
1) Are BC and SC now only valid for presenting sound bites
2) Are there any way of protecting oneself from this - I presume not. Especially for those of you whom are selling the music on BC. I personally use SC as a platform for presentation - not sale. For me it is more a question of not being associated with actual sites that have grabbed my audio, but then again it is not a artistic biggie as long as they are not selling the material for own gain.

EDIT: I did a check re my grabbed tracks. Seems like the site have been deleted. At least, it is impossible to track down.
