Mostly people probably know my industrial or ambient or whatever sort of stuff, but in between 2015-2019 I also had this separate thing for harsh noise, nightmare drones, blown out amplifier music, power violence etc. It actually started as a solo power violence/grindcore thing, as my band members spent most of their time high and I recorded everything alone rather than wait for them. Then I went instantly into noise with it. I used to record on tape, make few recycled tapes and sell them at shows. Most of the stuff uses tape loops and guitar feedback, screaming, spoken word,  metal percussion, self-built instruments (amplified typewriters, etc), later stuff also features a downtuned kantele I found from the fleamarket. I was living close to railroad tracks and used to carry all kinds of junk home and build some instruments out of them too. Because there's quite a few albums I would highlight Hiljaisuutta Ei Ole (harsh noise, tapes, hypnotic drone psychedelia), Sold Out (blown out tape noise made on few excess tapes shorter length), Rustfucker (two live shows on tape) and Valkoinen Ratsu (guitar drone and feedback noise based on spoken tapes by Finnish preacher Leo Meller. ) Also Post-Industrial Self-Hatred Blues works as a good depiction of what I was doing live I think, guitar noise mostly.
After I moved to Japan I felt like there I didn't need to have separate projects for this like in Finland, if I wanted to play a noise gig, I just did it as Junkyard Shaman.

I didn't know until today that I could by a CD at bandcamp without having a bandcamp account.

You all knew that, right? 😂

Yep, you can buy stuff without having an account. On occasion it works out nicely with some artists where it's hard to find else where.

Precisely! A CD I've been dreaming about for months, hard to find, expensive as fuck at discogs, and there it was at bandcamp, for a good price, and not-insane shipping!

I clicked Buy just to humour myself...and I ended up with a confirmation email, without signing up! Which surprised me!

Is there a reason why you do not want a Bandcamp account?

Erm...(oh god I'm the bandcamp thread)...my sig! 😂

I just fuckin love CDs. I don't want/need to stream.

(Maybe there's a thread for dinosaurs like me!?)

I 2nd that notion. I love CDs too and have no real interest in streaming as a source for everyday listening, however streaming can serve as a source of some type of introduction or preview of new artists or bands that can lead towards a gateway or a potential path towards finding an actual physical release. I also understand this is kind of the new wave of the future in terms of listening habits and that's fine as long as it's eventually presented in some form of tangible media at some point.

I'm always sampling things...streams, youtube, etc...but I never felt a need to "sign up" in order to do this. I can sample 99% of what I want!

Once I fall in love with what I have sampled, it's off to CD land. 😂

(Oh god, what am I doing in this thread?) 😂

Not only this...but I also got a free download with the purchase of this CD...which I have no idea what to do with. 😂

(Am I supposed to hear an 80min album on my fucking phone?)

impulse manslaughter

I'm not a streaming fan at all but purchased some records through Bandcamp in the past and sometimes listen to them on my headphones while hiking. If a LP comes with a download card I throw it away or give it to a friend..

A single $5 cable, and you can add your computer to the components on your stereo.  then, with no additional costs, if you're a MS user, you can add foobar and a wasapi plug-in and make for high-quality listening.

I only buy vinyl, d00ds.
