ORGAN OF CORTI – VENUS LP

Venus is a new LP by Swedish group Organ of Corti and marks their fifth release on Dead Mind Records. For the occasion, Chinese-American vocalist and musician Audrey Chen enters the magnetic world of Mattias Gustafsson, Dan Johansson and Joachim Nordwall.

While tape turns and circuits hum, these six pieces slowly unfold. Familiar fragments are repeated until they lose their origin. Synthesizer tones drift through layers of magnetic residue, while Chen's voice appears and disappears - sometimes human, sometimes animalistic and sometimes reduced to nothing but vibration or abstract noise.

Sounds surface, dissolve and return in altered form. A voice becomes a signal, a signal becomes a texture. The tape remembers something that cannot be identified. Venus is not a journey toward a destination, but a passage through an unknown environment. Suspended between the organic and the electronic, the intimate and the alien. A return to form for the Organ of Corti, but also another stage in the evolution of their cosmic music.

Listen carefully. Something is moving beneath the surface.

HOLEIST – SOILETH LP

Soileth collects the complete recorded output of Holeist, a short-lived collaboration between Dan Burke, Jeph Jerman and Eric Lunde. It stands as the final document of a brief encounter between three major figures of the American experimental underground, recorded in 1989 - a time when cassette culture, primitive sampling technology and extreme sound experimentation were colliding into something entirely new.

The material for side one was recorded during a single-day session in Lunde's living room, using a sampler, drum machine and effects. Jerman recalls the recording session as a shift-based process, with the three musicians feeding material into the system and transforming what came before. The result is raw, abrasive and strangely physical. Thirty-seven years later, the machinery still sounds broken.

Dan Burke, the driving force behind Illusion of Safety, has been active since the mid-'80s. His work moves between dense noise, rhythmic structures and ambient soundscapes. Jeph Jerman explores the physical and psychological possibilities of sound, using crude recording equipment, tape loops, sampled material and unconventional sound sources. Eric Lunde, formerly of the influential Midwest group Boy Dirt Car, developed his own extreme recording practices throughout the same period. His work concerns erosion, degradation and the physical abuse of recorded sound. Together, they produced a monster that sits somewhere between noise, musique concrète, primitive electronics and damaged tape music.

MUSICA DIVINA s/t LP

Musica Divina is a collaborative sound art project formed by Haare and Vincent Dalles. Rooted in long-form improvisation and environmental textures, the duo created 2 immersive sonic landscapes from dense organic drones, metal scraping and manipulated concrete sounds for their first album. Drawing inspiration from the organic minimalism and material-focused approach of artists like Jeph Jerman, Musica Divina explores the physicality of sound through slow-moving compositions that blur the boundaries between noise, industrial ambience and electro-acoustic experimentation.

Ilkka Vekka aka Haare is a Finnish experimental noise artist working primarily with feedback and psychedelic guitar drones to create intense, saturated sound improvisations. His performances and recordings often explore contrasts between raw distortion and subtle sonic detail, drawing from traditions of industrial music and free improvisation. Active within the underground noise network for many years, he has contributed significantly to Finland's reputation as a purveyor of uncompromising sonic acts.

Vincent Dalles is a Belgian noise artist and lover of abstract sounds, whose work explores the physical and material qualities of sound. Known for his high-energy live performances and recordings combining abrasive textures, metallic sounds and waves of almost uncontrollable organic noises, emphasizing transformation and the tactile character of pure and primitive sound.

CORPSE MAGNETISM – MAGNETIC TAPES 1-7 MC

Corpse Magnetism is a collaborative project between Rudolf Eber and Johnny van de Koolwijk. Rooted in ritualistic sound practices and primitive outsider aesthetics, the duo creates immersive pieces built from organic drones, handmade instruments, decayed textures, primitive percussion and improvised field recordings.

Rudolf Eber aka Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck is widely known for founding the radical outsider art project Schimpfluch-Gruppe in 1987, as well as being involved in numerous projects over the last few decades, exploring trance states, body art and shamanistic expression. He has worked together with noise legends like Masonna and Joke Lanz and now for the first time with Van de Koolwijk, who has been active in the Dutch experimental underground under the alias ZRTX, focusing on raw ambient structures, lo-fi tape loops and sound collages.
