Well, of course it's interesting case in some ways, like more obscure true crime is. For example, mass murder. Newsworthy, especially for crime enthusiasts. But exaggerated empathy or concern in other side of world seem weird.
It's hard to judge such act, as one can always write it off as foolish and senseless, that simply ruined lives (others and his), but in other hand he appears to be quite sure of what he aimed for. Maximum exposure for his message, and that's what he got.
