to cut a long story short. among the several things I was reading/owning were books on radical politics and religius extremism that were actually purchased straight from the source and it took me quite a while to explain it was for reasearch purpose. I was not incarcerated for this reason -luckily - but stuff got confiscated for a long while and returned after a long while and I have been "visited" several times. Once I started writing for magazines, etc. things became easier since possession of such material became justifiable as documentation, but it was annoying to say the least.
