Meant to 2nd this. One of my favorite Swedish, crusty vocals of all time. With good reason, the Battle of Opinions 7" is usually the recommendation, but they smoked their full length Killing the Life too. The CD has both the LP and 7". Celebrate their entire discography. Unsung, underrated, and with highest recommendations.

Another Finnish recommendation is Valvontakomissio. I feel they were the better on the split LP with No Security, and their CD-only album is great as well.
For Swedish, I was reminded of how good Tolshock is. Ex-members of some greats.

Riffs and heaviness that remind me of Hiatus. Catchiness that reminds me of that rare breed of Swedish HC that drops into the pocket and grooves. And best of all are the awesome vocals that remind me of Mandy of Health Hazard (not quite that great, but still really damn good).Counterblast...Balance of Pain is where the trend of 90's symphonic black metal best met the call of Swedish crusters. The Prospects 7" too. They then went the way of Neurosis with the next album, Impassivity. I'm not your biggest Neurosis fan, but Impassivity strikes me as one of the best of that type. The 2LP version has some key comp tracks on side D. They then went more and more in that direction and pretty much lost me.
Back when your knowledge could be a mile wide and a mile deep, and you still wouldn't have the full grasp of things. Now, it seems like you can cover the bases with a mile wide and an inch deep...or that's just me being senior.
