Anyone know of any decent record stores/plus in Stockholm that carries NOISE and related subject matter?

Some of the best have closed over the last years, but there are still some decent ones. For second hand stores, Stockholms Serie & Skivhandel on Sveavägen 104 (subway Rådmansgatan) consistently stocks a healty portion of industrial/experimental vinyl and CD. Incidentally I was there yesterday for the first time in about a year. Didn't find anything worth picking up this time, but e.g. they had the self-released Nod CD from before they were signed by Cold Meat which I imagine would interest some people here. As the name suggest, the store also carries loads of comics as well as porn mags/DVD.

For new albums, Sound Pollution in the Old Town part of Stockholm exlusively carry dark and aggressive music; punk, metal, goth, industrial. Haven't been there in a while, but I'm sure you could score albums by at least the more high profile noise acts such as Merzbow and the likes.

Here's a pretty exhaustive list of active stores: http://www.recordjunkie.com/stores/directory/sweden/stockholm

THANX A BUNCH POST-MORTEN! Much appreciated. Been to Sound Pollution as well as Stockholms Serie & Skivhandel- though ages ago. Decent stores. The link was amazing. Recommend it for the readers out there. I quite buying cds years ago. Mostly into vinyl and tapes.

There aren't many really relevant shops in Stockholm, Serie & Skivhandeln as stated is probably the only one that goes past the big names (and it usually has a pretty small selection). Good luck finding a shop that stocks tapes...
Larry's Corner on Grindsgatan 35 doesn't really have much noise and industrial, but carries a pretty broad spectrum of generally underground/alternativ culture if you're interested in that. Old underground and art films on DVD, books and comics and records/cd's with mostly psychedelic rock, folk and traditional, artsy music. Lots of imported stuff that's quite expensive but also cheap pirated stuff. It can be fun to look around in but I think I rarely actually buy anything there haha.

I haven´t visited this yet but friends have recommended me "Andra böcker och skivor" Rödabergsgatan 9. That´s all i can say about it. I know that they have find some really good vinyl there. Academic stuff etc...

Nostalgipalatset   at St. Eriksgatan 101 is always a classic and have a very good and big selection. Don´t know if they have much of what you are after but maybe you will find anything interesting.

I also likes Mickes Serier Cd & Vinyl at Långholmsgatan 20. But same here with the genres you are asking about.

Serie och skivhandel used to be my favorite but haven't found much lately. I have always made good 2nd hand finds at Ideal for Living (Södermannagatan 19), such as 1st Illusion of Safety LP, original "Metal Machine Music" 2LP, Leather Nun "Slow Death" 12" etc. They seems to have something by the classics (SPK, TG, Test Dept etc.) always in stock. Record Mania (Östgötagatan 2) has emphasis on groovy stuff but they have also a good box of avantgarde stuff. In june got a few rare swedish electroacoustic LP's for decent prices. If you have time, maybe a day trip to Solna is worth to do, there are some good shops there.

Last time I went there they had just got a bunch of 2nd hand 80's industrial (NON/Rice, TG, C93, Coil etc.) LP's. Their musique concrete section have brought some pleasant (yet fairly pricy) surprises. Their metal department has even a noise section but never bought anything from there. I think worth to visit, there are also many other record stores in the same area.

Thanx guys. Appreciate it a lot. Will do some research before leaving on dealt info. Any of you wouldn't know of any good stores or indoor/outdoor markets where one can pick up second hand music gear? Effect pedals, samplers, synths, plus?

I think it´s harder and harder to find such items nowadays when everyone knows ebay and such sites. But i really recommended the big fleamarket in Vårberg http://www.loppmarknaden.se/ I have found some good stuff there and have friends that have found some really good gear sometimes. I guess you should visit it on a saturday. They always have plenty of tape recorders and electronics and there is also a very weird porn store there if you are into that. Last time i was there they sold used underwear and handmade porn collage.

These go to 11 (Södermanngata 16) is a specialist shop for pedals. They have a 2nd hand section but mostly new (and plenty of boutique stuff). Probably won't make crazy bargains there but maybe interesting to visit.

Thanx Mattias and Henrik! Will def check it out. Was sniffing a bit at the marked in Vårberg earlier, seems like a good hit. Loved the sign on their webpage saying: "Barnangsförbud Lördag - Söndag". Hope I can return the favor if you need some overview of Oslo once.

Vårberg market is very hit or miss, sometimes you can find real gems there, sometimes only shit. But it's an experience nonetheless.
On weekends it's usually more crowded (and there's an entry fee, but it's pretty much nothing, just 10 or 15 SEK) but also more stuff available, as some shops/tables are closed on weekdays. Check out the guys who have booths where they sell junk electronics, you can find most anything there... if it has a power cord and a switch they'll try to sell it. Probably overpriced so it doesn't hurt to haggle a little bit if you feel confident about that.

I've never visited it but this store in Solna seems pretty OK too: http://www.dgr.se/

Also if you're close (in Södermalm around the tube stops Medborgarplatsen or Skanstull) you could check out the café & record shop Louie Louie on Bondegatan 13. It's a pretty shitty place, always crowded with 20-something year old hipsters (and that's a word I don't use lightly), but they have a small record selection and have even carried some semi-relevant tapes at times. Don't go out of your way to get there but check it out if you happen to pass by.

They are pretty much specialized in all various flavors of jazz and free improv, with some overlap into EAM and Fylkingen type of music. My friend once took Thurston Moore there who blew around 1000 bucks. They have (or at least used to have) a good selection of 2nd hand books too.

I must check this out next time i am in Stockholm. How long has it been around?

How is the record section at Rönnels anyway? Someone said they had a section with Fylkingen, EAM there also but never been there either.

Apparently they have been in various locations for quite some time (they are called Andra Jazz these days), at least from 80s if not 70s. It is a fascinating place to visit even if you don't buy anything, time leap to past decades. Emphasis on jazz, classical music and free improv + related. Not cheapest place around, normally they don't have prices on the records so have to ask for the price (and if the owner is not there, assistant needs to call him up). Opening hours can be quite random (part of the kvlt?).

Normally a bunch of CD's at the cashier and occasionally a random Swedish EAM/sound poetry rarity LP.
