Levas

I was recommended Russell Peters. Never watched any of these stand-ups. But it's great to watch it when hung over.

UTOPIA

UK tv series. Black humour/thriller within conspiracy frame. Worth a watch.

Also, be sure to check out the US flick Wrong Cops. Bizarre and keel over weirdness.

Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer (UK) have a new show starting next Tuesday on BBC. Taking the traditional sit-com stories and re-writing them. It could very well be terrible, if so I will be sorely disappointed as I was a very big fan of Reeves and Mortimer once upon a time, but at least they're doing some new non-game show (in the loosest sense) comedy.

For the unfamiliar (possibly anyone outside of the UK, don't know how well they exported?) The Smell Of Reeves and Mortimer from a good few years ago was mostly senseless and anarchic and, whilst not as black and grimy as the likes of The Young Ones and to an extent Bottom, was very well written and crafted.

do you remember the weekenders?
it was a pilot for a C4 series, but the channel picked another contender (!)
vic and bob wrote and starred in it, and it featured a wonderful moment involving phil oakley and a quality meat product :-D
AND a beautiful synth guitar solo!!
