Sorry, was a bit unclear.
If one is invited by an organizer, venue, etc. it is my experience that it is best to apply via them/let them apply for you. Whatever of these two paths it may be, the application work is a collaborative work between oneself and the org. In order to have a venue apply for oneself it is of course necessary to have a part of the written material ready in order to have the org. flesh an application. This can for instance be a CV, musician/artist presentation, a project description plus audio/visual documentation material. If one is doing the work by oneself one should at least have a letter of intention from the inviting party.
By having the inviting party as the stated applicant the support application is lent weight, as well as one have a pair of extra eyes that are/might be accustomed to dealing with this kind of grant shite. If they don't do the whole application, one should get at least a certain amount of assistance.
Didn't realize the deadline was today. Hope it works out for you!
