Among personal favorites of mine, and strongly recommended:

GF002   Eric La Casa   The Stones Of The Threshold ‎(CD)   1999
Utterly beautiful craftmanship of experimental sound, field recordings, natural and organic feel.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ME-SfKyKdM

GF003   Radiosonde    Meter Sickness ‎(CD, Album)   1999
Almost criminally overlooked project, great electric static noise sounds layered into rhythms and noises. CD released by Armed & Loaded is very difficult to get, this is cheap and easy.

GF004   Government Alpha   Sporadic Spectra ‎(CD, Album)   1999
Govt' Alpha from late 90's. Harsh brutally distorted electronics with also amazing tonality.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o97jr-1_FKI

GF008   Crawl Unit   Stop Listening ‎(CD, Album)   2000
Crawl Unit has had his own topic on forum before and certainly album to grab! There are more examples of album content, but I like this airy feedbacking floating sound...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfDVfbfm8LM

GF009   R.H.Y. Yau   The Hidden Tongue ‎(CD, Album)   2000
Out of many CD's... I recall liking this a lot.

GF011   RoboChanMan   Strugglediver ‎(CD, Album)   2000
There is hardly anything available from this Japanese project. He was singer of Magmax in some releases. This is his solo works

GF018   Bastard Noise   Descent To Mimas ‎(CD, Album)   2001
Long tracks of electronics was not my favorite style of BN, but nevertheless good stuff!

GF019   Daniel Menche   The Face Of Vehemence ‎(CD, Album)   2002
Strong droney dirt. Great stuff as one could expect from Menche!

GF020   Sickness   I Have Become The Disease That Made Me (Album) ◄ (2 versions)   2002
Among the most important works of Sickness may I say? Not yet the Sickness we know today, but still very much developed from some earliest works!

I remember reading something about GF ceasing activities. He released lots of amazing things, and they were available for very cheap prices.

I'll add these two CDs to the list of reccomendations:

GF022   K2   In The Monotonous Flowers ‎(CD, Album)   2002 - "soft" industrial style K2, really good!
GF029   Prurient   Shipwrecker's Diary ‎(CD, Album)   2004

and this was released by GF too if I remember well?
Dave Phillips + R. H.Y. Yau* ‎– Illusion Is A Natural Condition  CD, absolutely great stuff. Lots of insect sounds and cut-up vocals.

The best.  Liked his system.  Loved his distro.  Wish I could have supported him more near the end.  All around no bullshit.  Lots of great releases, and exquisite taste in artists.  The kind of listener I respect and admire.  I don't know if he was a believer in the jewel case, but I very much appreciated that his releases came in them.  The Sickness CD instantly comes to mind as a top tier GF release.  Phroq was a great ending.

Too bad he couldn't get "We Spit on Their Graves" boxset to come together.

Is he still pressing cd's?

FreakAnimalFinland

yeah, there is e-mail on site where to write if one wants to press CD's.

Co-signing this. Also love the Radiosonde release. The Lionel Marchetti Portrait d'un Glacier CD is quite nice - field recordings etc. that do just what the CD title promises. Chilly.

Crawl Unit - Stop Listening
This is an incredible release, the sonics are perfect. Very well developed and thought out,a different experience each listen.

Lockweld - Eutectic
This release is incredibly influential on the development of my noise music personally. I was doing construction work with board surfacing machines and listening to this at the same time, everything mixed together and it sounded very overwhelming. There are some tracks on this release that are just so perfect, like "No Compromise." This release is still one of the best pieces of noise ever put together for me personally. The power tool and synth work is always satisfying.

Sickness - I Have Become The Disease That Man Made Me

This may be one of the best releases in the sickness catalog, the arrangement of the music, productions values, and dynamics are unbeatable.

Prurient - Shipwrecker's Diary - Even beyond the Lockweld disc, this offering from Prurient is my favorite release from him. It sounds like Mater Dolorosa but more developed and more textured and layered. I am never disappointed by this release and it set a high standard for the intensity of a studio recording. I think the Macronympha source tapes are from the Macroprurient session from the OKHA split, but that's just from listening so many times I can remember the sounds. This release absolutely kills.

K2, Government Alpha, Daniel Menche, Vertonen, RHY YAU The Hidden Tongue, Bastard Noise - Descent to Mimas, Dave Phillips are all more than worth the time.

Essential.

Awesome label. Did it just officially die? I thought it had been dead for some time. I was listening to a few of the CDs over the last few weeks either way.

Afflux
RHY Yau
Sickness
Crawl Unit
Christian Renou

Good shit.

Use to have probably 2/3 of these, learned a lot of artists and what kinds of noise and ideas I was more and less into as well. Think my Guilty Connector cd came with a 3" Lethal Firetrap cd that was really amazing.

This is going to seem like a random, and impossible because of Millennial noise climate, question about the distro, but can anyone remember an artist who only released tapes with elaborate packaging that may have only distributed through Ground Fault.  They weren't Ground Fault releases, but other than ordering directly from the artist, Ground Fault was the only other option.  I **believe** it was a two-word name, and I'm almost certain they were self-released.  Take a shot, please.  Rattle off some names.
