Asking for some suggestions from this project.  The only release I have is Prinsesen from 905 tapes.  It's okay, but I imagine there is much better stuff out there

He has released a ton of good ones, some better than others but I don't think I have heard a Mutant Ape that I haven't liked. One of my favorites was 2009's Erotic Yorkshire, it covers a lot of different ground from some droning minimal noise with small movements to straight up heavy Power Electronics with the great Jamie Gillis placed through-out. I really liked Mutant Children as well, thick and heavy, and you can't go wrong with the Grunt split. Check out another one of his projects called Murder Book as well, really good, as is Sump if you are into the stomping, raw as fuck Black Metal thing.

I think the LP's that came recently are the most recommended. His style is diverse, from harsh to drone, to pe, to.. well, many things. Most often what I have heard has been good, but the "proper releases", which have decent packaging, are the ones I like more than probably hundred spraypainted cdr's he did in early days.

The LP released by Urashima is very good too

The Urashima LP "Buried On't Moors" is brilliant. I'd also recommend "What's Left?" CD that compiles a couple of his smaller CD-R releases. Solid harsh noise, as they say.

I really liked "What's Left?" CD on Turgid Animal, this CD is compiling tracks from splits with SHIFT and GRUNT as well as other tracks on previous releases, I believe it's a good start point.

I think "Erotic Yorkshire" , "Buried On't Moors" LPs and "What's Left?" CD are good suggestions , as they cover all of his styles .
Also they're all easily available

Going of these recommendations I picked up the Erotic Yorkshire LP the other day. I've never heard the project before so I feel like this is a great start. Like everyone has previously mentioned, a nice range of styles presented here. Something I could listen to quite often. And great artwork by Tisbor too.

Was just listening 2010 tape "Black Dog't North". Very nice!
Would be curious to hear more comments from people what exactly from recent years of Mutant Ape works best? After all, this is already half decade old release!

One side has much more aggressive stuff. One could loosely lump it into "noise with vocals" category, which is not really trad PE, but much more than than free form noise. Certainly fans of Bizarre Uproar or such wouldn't be turned off. Other side with longer and darker track, which slowly operates on several levels and nicely calms down before end of side.
