MAAAA: "Decay and Demoralization" CD (Mind Flare Media)
Decay and Demoralization is MAAAA's first official release with Mind Flare. Hailing from Poland, this noise duo incorporates power electronics, metal, and pure chaos into their work. Purposely avoiding using computers of any sort, MAAAA bashes on random objects while screaming and wailing, blasting out your eardrums at the same time. The tracks have an atmosphere that suggests exactly what the artwork is going for, the decay of humanity and the earth. If the swirling mass of fish and human bones on the CD itself doesn't give you a clue what it's about, you better make sure the volume is low when you turn it on. Six tracks of harsh noise running well over an hour. Some of the music has an eerie presence that almost makes it seem like they're in the room screaming behind you.
