There used to be an online radio show called "Musically Incorrect" which featured a lot of this kind of thing and, if I'm remembering rightly, one of the hosts actually wrote that book "Songs In The Key Of Z".
Beware Of The Blog is also a great source for outsider music, of all kinds.
I'm not sure Little Fyodor can be said to have issues with mental health. In fact, after seeing
this, I was left with the impression that the two of them just had a shtick going that they stuck with. A bit too contrived, for mine. And Tiny Tim pretty well knew what he was doing, too - he made an appearance on a Beatles fan club Christmas album which, all up, was pretty surreal anyway (the drugs were starting to kick in for that band at that time).
I'm all for this kind of thing. I know I have a few ripped albums of material from people who just did not fit into conventional music at all, but did their thing anyway. I'll need to dig a little deeper into my files. This is a promising thread.
