New Forces #2 is ready for ordering. I managed to get an initial run printed before the blizzards hit, and I'm excited to share the second edition of this zine with you. Putting this together is still a learning process, but I think that #2 is better than #1, and that's the goal every time. Huge thanks to everyone that was interviewed or contributed content to this edition, which features interviews with Custodian, Deterge, Hostage Pageant, Heavy Psych (Droughter / Constrain), Justin Lakes (Pusdrainer / Muck / Shredded Nerve) on Summer Scum Noise Fest, and Miscreant. The zine also includes daily updates from RRRecords, where RRRon talks about the people that come into the shop, what releases were ordered that day, how much he hates smooth jazz yet still plays it on his stereo, and other fascinating info harsh noise nerds will enjoy. Brad Griggs outlines his favorite harsh noise titles, Luke Tandy discusses the best noise venues, and of course there is a review section, which features a section on the Roger Stella Mother Savage / Macronympha related reissues cassettes. As always, there are plenty of live pictures, primarily from Summer Scum 2013. 32 pages, 8.5 by 11, black and white. The zine is 5$ postage paid in the U.S. and 8$ postage paid international.
