Three tapes worth of newer VSS material moving away from the minimalist
noise music and going full force into the Avant-Garde/Neofolk/Power
Electronics/Future Jazz sounds that recent samples have displayed.
Taking the experimental racket of Nurse With Wound, The Residents and
Controlled Bleeding and fusing it with electronics soundscapes,
distortions of old 78 cylinder recordings, American folk music,
programmed computer Jazz instruments and sociopolitical
lyrics. Cemetery Without Crosses contains all the music released on the
label Brotherhood of Light (minus one song) and some unreleased music
from that time. A Coffin For Pyongyang Sally was to be the VSS debut
album recorded in March of last year and like the Ilsa Koch album
released below was delayed forever and now being released as just a
tape in order to have order here. Aces & Eights is the tape of a
CD-r full length I made for a Russian label (the sample video from that
shows their handmade artwork) recorded almost a year
after the core samples/ideas for the other tapes were made and is a
more mature/less impulsive example of the future direction for the
project compared to the others which are far more primitive/less
complex.

Despite some very poor choices in the past on my part in regards to artwork the Vinland Special Services has never promoted a neo-nazi agenda within the music.
