Seemed to take a great deal of time to reach completion, this one.  I recall seeing an Orphx snippet about three years ago, regardless, quite interesting for those w/ a penchant for modular synthesis.

I loved this, watched the extended version. I don't have the funds necessary for a proper modular system and I'm sort of fearful of diving down that rabbit hole at this point, but more power to those who live without fear (and with funds).

on a related note, did anyone catch the BBC doco 'Synth Brittania' a few months back? ((sorry, UK-centric *lol)) It featured many similar interviewees (Vince Clarke, John Foxx, the Normal) Now that one really SHOULD be shown in schools..!

what is also great is having access to the extended interviews

Allen Ravenstine (of Pere Ubu) is my favorite one

don't know if this works abroad (as in we can't see hulu here for example) but it's online all november (not the hardcore but the main part)

Good film, similar contributors as the BBC doc Synth Britannia from what I remember of it (edit: as pointed out above, sorry). Would've liked more depth around the actual functions/modules in a modular setup but I guess that's not the intention of the film. Made me want to get some modules until I slapped myself and said no.
