There's a good, lengthy interview with him in a zine put out of Melbourne last century called "Year Zero", in which he talks about (among many other things) his time with Max Q. He was certainly bored with some of the attention it got him from teenagers at the time. Apparently the music industry apparachiks around Hutchinson couldn't understand what was going on. But he does mention some material from those sessions he thought was alright. Anyway, hope he got paid well for it.
In the interviews I've read with Murphy, I'm amazed just how busy he was. He seemed to have ten or so projects going at one time, and intentions of many more. He lived for his music.
