After a bunch of noisy releases, it was getting time to put out something quieter on fNs, and the moment is now. And the band is Al Qaeda, and the album is "Econo". If you've already listened to Al Qaeda, this is something else. They sent their probably less noisy sounds to a supposedly noise oriented label. Ha ha. "Econo" is two tracks, lasting 25 minutes. Drumless, bassless, just Scott Miller, Eric Sanchez and Erin Love playing guitars, vocals, tapes, synths and oscillators. Smooth ambient psychedelic sounds that really take you to other places where you can't feel but the skin falling slowly on your body. Awesome artwork by Demian Johnston.

"Turku is the first collaboration edited of Basque Miguel A. Garcia (Xedh) and Jon Imbernon (Fallen, Ximel, Le Noise and Ura). Since 2006 they gather to carry out intensive and environmental electro-acoustic improvisations with oscillators, no-input mixer, guitar and effects. Attractive and suggestive conversations between electronic and acoustic, which show that Xedh and Imbernon have a lot to talk about, and the other lot to listen to.

I first listened to Scissor Shock was to the "Shrine To Salvaged Junk" tape, which I thought (and still do) it's one of the best things I've listened to in the past year. I was so excited with that tape that I proposed S.S. main man Adam to do a release on fNs, so when he declined the offer due to film making issues that kept him busy I was a little bit bumped. Months later he emailed me saying he wanted to do it. Yes! And some more months later he comes up with the greatest weird-free-rock shit ever. With echoes of classic bands like The Residentes and Captain Beefheart, "Psychic Existentialist" is an awesomely strange voyage by the realms of rock and electronic sounds. 32 minutes of glorious edgy guitars, odd rhythms and marvellous whoknowswhat sounds. Split cassette of fuguh (Krapoola + R.N. Juristos) and La Mujer Blandenga. LMB is the project of Nestor (Alicante, Spain), where he mixes breakbeats, noise and voices in a unique way. This time is more psychedelic and slower track, less aggressive than those edited in the stunning CDRs "Gentuza" and "La Muer Blandenga". fuguh's track was recorded at "El Desván de la Vigilia", headquarters of Krapoola until recently, an unique space that has hosted unique events. Krapoola used his classic device "espesódromo", R.N. Juristo oscillators, voices and winds. Ethereal sounds, distorted and caustics. 30 minutes.

Side B is Ponzoña (Guadalajara, Spain) is Jorge Vicario free noise improv project affected by, among others, Vienese Actionism, malfunctions, Dadá and Nihilist Spasm Band. Eight tracks, angry voices, analog processors, metals, found sounds... exhausting and rewarding abstract and concrete noise.

CDR edition of the second collaboration between Andrew Coltrane (Michigan) and R.N. Juristo (Madrid) also released on cassette by Hermitagetapes. In Madrid, were recorded rhythmic and unrhythmic metals from a homemade device named "ironoiser", a steel sheet with various metal gadgets attached and amplified. In Michigan minimalist electronic was recorded. The result is an amalgam of rusted wrecks lasting 28 minutes split in 2 tracks.
