https://www.mixcloud.com/Otomo_Hava/guests-from-chaos-23-tanner-garza/Tanner Garza is a Texas based experimental musician that has been combining elements of Jazz, Glitch, Drone, Noise, 20th century Classical and Musique Concrète into his own twisted take on the Ambient genre. In going with the 'now or never" approach every recording and live performance is completely improvised, leading to Garza coining the term "Gorilla Ambient" when describing his sound. In 2014 Garza began experiments with
live Frippertronics using electric bass and a much simpler setup that the reel to reels used by Fripp & Eno. He is also known for his various collaborations with artists seemingly on the other side of the sonic spectrum. Aside from his solo work Garza also holds membership in a variety of groups such as Black Leather Jesus, Vision Stains, Uncle Meat, Priest In Shit, and the Connolly | Garza | Sandor improv trio. He's also the owner of Bookend Recordings.
