SKELETON DUST RECORDINGS
NEW RELEASES 04/09/16

DANIEL RIZER - CONTAMINATED TIME LP

Over the last several years, Daniel Rizer of Dayton, Ohio, has been producing some of the most hypnotic and texturally-innovative experimental music utilizing minimal equipment that yields maximum auditory results. With cassette players, a reel-to-reel tape recorder, and an old DJ mixer, Rizer manages to conjure jagged and corroded compositions of effected field recordings that are looped and continually reassembled into dynamic and forward-moving compositions of rough noise. He is also known for his involvement in other previous projects including Budweiser Sprite, Glom, Shitty Vibe Smasher, and Yes, Collapse, as well operating Together Tapes, a DIY cassette label featuring meticulously psychedelic packaging and artwork. Although previous efforts have displayed the prowess of Rizer's abilities, CONTAMINATED TIME is his most fleshed-out and complete recording to date, a statement solidifying his position as one of the finest and most underrated artists currently active in noise & experimental music. Mastered by Viktor Ottosson. Edition of 300 copies.

ONE DARK EYE - DAYTON LIVE c80

Since 1994, Rodger Stella (formerly of legendary American harsh noise group Macronympha) has been operating under the moniker One Dark Eye. Whereas Macronympha explored the dark underbelly of humanity through damaged & vile noise, One Dark Eye ventures through the cosmos of the subconscious, transcending the physical realm to a place that is the amalgamation of the drugged mind and deep space. Taking the listener on a trip is a critical aspect of the project, a quality that is highly evident on this recording captured live in Dayton, Ohio at The Brickhaus on May 20th, 2015. Throughout the 40 minute set, Stella expertly shifts the air molecules in the room with crushed textures reminiscent of 90's American noise, laced with his unique blend of psychotropic electronics. Program repeats on b-side. Edition of 100 pro-duplicated copies.

HIROSHI HASEGAWA - LIVE AT END TYMES FESTIVAL 2014 c62

Since his involvement in the earliest days of what is now considered contemporary noise and experimental music, Hiroshi Hasegawa has risen to become one of the most skilled and diverse artists to date within the genres. For nearly the last 20 years, Hasegawa has been prolific with a variety of recordings and live performances under his name, not including other past & present collaborations and projects such as Mortal Vision, Club Skull, Astro, Astromero, C.C.C.C., and Hijokaidan. Years of practice and dedication to his craft have led to the material that we are proud to present on this essential live document. For his performance at End Tymes 2014 at the Silent Barn in Brooklyn, NY, Hasegawa delivered a blistering 25+ minute set of his signature style of psychedelic harsh noise which only gained more momentum and power with each passing second. The b-side of the tape finds Hasegawa in the studio further exploring his proven artistry of power and control using abrasive electronics. Recorded by Bob Bellerue. Edition of 100 pro-duplicated copies.

The fifth volume of the Contemporary Harsh Noise series brings together another four practitioners of abrasive sounds from around the world to explore the idea of URBANIZATION. Government Alpha, GRKZGL, Heinz Hopf, and Sissisters interpret harsh noise in their own unique ways, however, one thing they all share is residing in cities across the globe that have experienced past or current effects of growing urban population, environmental pollution, and class segregation. Without change, future humanitarian disaster is imminent. Edition of 100 pro-duplicated copies housed in a vinyl case.
