Hello, pleased to announce that this is out:

PESTDEMON PESTDÄMONENS HINSIDESFÄRD C32

Sound sample here.

Pestdemon is by a now a signature name when it comes to monolithic sheets of slow-moving discordance and coarse sonorities. The side-length piece on the A-side effectively refines this aesthetic while select implementations from the harsh noise vocabulary gives the sound a raucous and carnal edge. The result is nothing less than a 16-minute chunk of resolute density, forcefully channelled through the austere geography of northeastern Malmö.

Side B contains a conceptual piece individually recorded for each cassette. The sounds are dubbed in real time from random source material, fed through a random musical setup, each piece individually titled according to a random process. No mixing or other post production applied – never to be listened to again. This is a sound seemingly analogous to the information overload in the global community, not the least as witnessed in the contemporary experimental/noise scene.

A sound as ephemeral and meaningless as your random harsh noise C20 from the 2000's.

This is the first release on Sprachlos Verlag, co-produced with Kafé Kaos, and comes in a numbered edition of 55 copies.

Oh fuck yes! Always good to see a new Pestdemon release.
By the way, what does the title of the tape mean in English?
Shikata ga nai.

ARKHE

hinsides = the beyond (the metaphysical, realm of the dead etc)
färd = journey
so "the journey into the beyond of the plague daemon" though it doesn't sound like a fantasy novel title in Swedish...
