I flicked through it once or twice in the library when I was a student. I don't remember many details but I always thought it was a cool idea. I should imagine it's pretty out of date by now though.

Yeah its great, highly recommended for anyone doing electronic experimental/noise electronics.
There's a free pdf out there of the original short version from while the full book was layer developed, that's worth a look too for cheapskates :)
