Been reading through this book that came out last year. For English readers it is especially good because it accurately translates many manifestos and writings of the RAF that have had incomplete, incorrect or no translation in the past. A combination of historical analysis and primary source material. Obviously the editors come from a leftist bent, so keep that in mind. Definitely recommended for anyone trying to understand more about the motives and reasoning behind the RAF's actions.

I contacted Bo Cavefors 10 years ago who published it in 1977 (and was forced into exile for his efforts) in both a Swedish and German version for a release but he said no. "You have to remember that RAF lawyers are now in the German Parliament." I guess he changed his mind and went ahead with the re-release. Wonder if his shows with Martin Bladh had anything to do with that?

Stefan Aust book is also mandatory although I haven't read the new revised version.

I also met a German lady a few years ago who took pictures of the demonstration that happened in Heidelberg in the 70's.  She scanned them for me as I lived in Heidelberg for three years in the 90's.  From the pictures, I can see it happened just blocks from where I lived.

I would also recommend "How It All Began" by Bommi Baumann. I remember it being a good read, although I did read it 20 years ago. Itwas abit hard to find then, checking Amazon it look like t's been bag in print since around the turn of the millennium though.
