Apologies for stirring the shit, but Wyngarde's issues re: work are news to me, and a little perplexing at that. No real clue why one would need to be "punished" in their professional life for a simple (if weird or "disturbing") musical project. The content seems tame compared to the deliberate provocateurs (you know who I mean), so this seems not only unfair but nonsensical to me. Why is he being picked on?

Don't know the details but, of course, it depends entirely on what his job is/was. I shouldn't imagine anyone at the job would be thinking 'well, it's not as bad as deathkey, we'll give him a break.'  Maybe all it takes for some employers is to find out you've got a record called 'schoolgirls in chains' to be worried about you. Pathetic and wrong but sadly understandable when viewed from the profit/loss perspective of industry.

"Dai Coelacanth can't keep his trap shut. It brings him grief. He runs away. His little legs carry him to the Island. It's hot. Boiling. Spys are everywhere. Spells are cast. Insects rub their mandibles. The sea is calm. Hear life as it was. One million years ago."

Is it?

I know of Filthy Turd only peripherally, I'll have to delve deeper even if it's now posthumous!

good to hear about smaller scenes that are active even if they're cut off from the wider network. I actually made a group on facebook for UK PE/NOISE/INDUSTRIAL of all kinds for performers/promoters/consumers in the hopes of finding more active people to put on shows etc. Feel free to join:

Thanks people for the kind words about Cementimental :) still going strong tho i have been playing only rarely for the last year or two after years of ridiculously too often :D
Still always working on new gear and recordings (a 'real' release would be welcome after all these DIY ones if anyone's interested) but at the moment concentrating on my other project Isn'tses, which is not pure noise but also incorporates elements of music/PE/vocals and beats as well as audiovisual/performance. not for the 'costume-noise'-phobic sorry. http://isntses.co.uk

Lots of Isn'tses live stuff coming up, next known Cementimental show is at the Destroy all Artifacts Alladayer on the 12th Nov https://www.facebook.com/events/1847219582194378/

I think they'd have a hard job connecting him legally since he operates under so many aliases, [....] also being one. I can't recall him having done anything that would warrant dismissal but I don't know where he works
Hmmm well this post might not help don't you think? :-S

FT is the absolute greatest

It seems to me like the Uk Harsh Noise scene has kind of gone a bit quiet, but then again here in London at least there's often several events a week which contain at least a bit of it, and it's still possible to e.g. go, on a sunday night, to a full-on scrap metal smashing, PA-clipping noise squatparty in a Stalker-worthy ruined complex of car garages :D

Might list some current recommendations soon but maybe few are pure noise/PE enough for you guys (drone and HNW stuff seems more common right now) plus i don't want to forget anyone and i need to do stuff now

Please do, when you have time.  I struggle to find events/places that pique my interest.

Old thread but I got a good 'un: Plantation, nasty little racist PE project that appears to still be active.

Filthy said he worked as a janitor in an all-girl's school, back in the troniks board days.  I don't know how creative he was being with some of his writing on there though.

I loved the Burselm Crypt stuff, although there doesn't seem to be much trace of that for a year or so either.

I see guy of the project has posted in this topic too, but not mentioned his own works:

Natural Orthodoxy "Legacies of Rust" tape is one of the very best "where did this came from" -type of tapes I have listened lately. As many things happen in such a fast pace, it is possibly I have seen or heard it before, but also possibly this was first exposure. Just can't remember.
Got bunch of tapes from New Forces, and when pushed play of "Legacies of Rust", in first few minutes of thought - ah ok, contemporary power electronics. Semi melodic backing tones, scream as loud as possible, some racket on top. But not so fast conclusions! 8 track long tape stands out as proper album. There is more to it than one can judge by first couple of minutes. Some variation in vocal performance. Not one effect, and totally uniform style. Songs themselves has diversity. From short pieces of noisy and ripping stuff to deep heavy electronic pulsations. Needless to say, tape version sounds way better. While bandcamp version feels like "unmastered", tape feels like it's now sounding as it should. Saturated, punching sound, where some peaks are evened a bit and digital feel is less dominant. I'd recommend tape - and I'd also urge to hurry. It's ltd 75 only! In Europe, at least Freak Animal carries some at the moment, in USA of course label directly is way to go.
