As many things happen in such a fast pace, it is possibly I have seen or heard it before, but also possibly this was first exposure. Just can't remember. Got bunch of tapes from New Forces, and when pushed play of "Legacies of Rust", in first few minutes of thought - ah ok, contemporary power electronics. Semi melodic backing tones, scream as loud as possible, some racket on top. But not so fast conclusions! 8 track long tape stands out as proper album. There is more to it than one can judge by first couple of minutes. Some variation in vocal performance. Not one effect, and totally uniform style. Songs themselves has diversity. From short pieces of noisy and ripping stuff to deep heavy electronic pulsations. Needless to say, tape version sounds way better. While bandcamp version feels like "unmastered", tape feels like it's now sounding as it should. Saturated, punching sound, where some peaks are evened a bit and digital feel is less dominant. I'd recommend tape - and I'd also urge to hurry. It's ltd 75 only! In Europe, at least Freak Animal carries some at the moment, in USA of course label directly is way to go.Digital version here:https://naturalorthodoxy.bandcamp.com
Quote from: NaturalOrthodoxy on February 02, 2018, 11:45:59 AMI may do a self-release CD reissue of this once it seems to be sold out from Phage and distros (Nil By Mouth also has a couple), and include some extra tracks, possibly live recordings from my shows with Svartvit or Pharmakon.
