Atrophist

Did anyone else notice that during the scenes set in the kitchen in Jeanne Dielman, the number of chairs around the table seems to be constantly changing?

The most obvious explanation would seem to be that it's a simple, easily overlooked mistake. BUT the chairs are shown so prominently in the those shots that it seems unlikely no-one on the set would have not noticed it.

CITIZEN VIGILANTE (2026)

Citizen Vigilante is a 2026 vigilante action thriller film produced, written, and directed by Uwe Boll. It stars Armie Hammer as Michael Sanders, a vigilante who targets criminal migrants and corrupt officials. The film was inspired by a 2016 case in Hamburg where a 14-year-old girl was gang-raped by teenagers while they received only suspended sentences.

The film was released in select theaters and digitally on June 19, 2026. It did not receive an age rating in Germany (and many more now), effectively banning it in the country. Elon Musk released the film on X, boosting its reach. (Wiki source)

So you can find it easy on the net if you're interested, not the greatest, but he earns a mention at the moment some weak woke states banned the movie. Apparently, killing illegal rapists in a work of fiction is too sensitive a topic for the German governor...

Hakaristi

Watched it recently - nice slice of exploitation trash concerning the rape of Europe. A Death Wish-style hero cleansing the streets of migrant scum and lenient judges. Fun stuff.

Was amused to discover the main actor was persona non grata after being me too'd for rough sex and cannibalism fantasies until Mr. Boll offered him the lead; he's all about second chances! Mentioned he'd like to give Kevin Spacey a starring role next.

This sounds interesting! I love those types of trashy street revenge flicks. Immediately Deadbeat At Dawn comes to mind, haha. This one you and aforementioned post described concerning current world situation, sounds like a flick I need to watch soon.

Now THAT is a great trash flick there. Van Bebber is truly one of the best in the game, just rewatched My Sweet Satan the other night and it still holds up fantastically. Wish the movie he made with Skinny Puppy would surface some day.

Would say Deadbeat at Dawn is a far superior film! Bonecrusher's "I hate people, man..." monologue alone is the stuff of legend. But Citizen Vigilante (originally titled The Dark Knight?!) is easy enough to find online and was actually screening in a few theatres in the US. Opened on Juneteenth, haha.

Haha, Bonecrusher greatest monologue ever!
It took me by surprise the first time and stuck with me ever since! I actually got my copy of the DVD at a horror convention, I want to say like 25 years ago. It was from this guy who use to work at Anchor Bay, responsible for transferring over all their great horror gems, he had went on to start Synapse and release some greats over there. I also picked up Frankenhooker from him too, haha.

Totally! The fight with Bonecrusher at the end, best of the best! Also comes to mind kind of like Deadbeat At Dawn, but with Nam flash back traumas is Troma released flick Combat Shock, kind of has that same urban decay street shits feels

God...That's a movie I need to revisit desperately. Haven't seen it since around 7th grade or so?

I revisited it a few months ago and still holds up nicely. I had forgot how weird that synth driven music/score was. That would be a neat to find a cassette tape of it. I also watched Killer Nerd/Bride Of The Killer Nerd, another interesting Troma distributed one sameday as a re-watch, total cult gem also holds up nicely with time!
