Sorry if this is offtopic but... I always enjoyed using metal pedals for noise

So... Anybody got any feedback or something to say about the Boss HM-3? The hyper metal pedal
Found one cheap online but I can't really find stuff online to get the idea of how it sounds applied to noise

Some people say it's shit for metal but I wanted a second opinion...

It's not good. Sold mine, got it very cheap from a friend. Not high gain enough, and there's better pedals for low gain feedback.

Got my Crustacean, needs lots of power to be uses as an effect with input, but does what it says

Which ones you'd recommend? I've used a big muff and a rat and loved them both, but I only applied them on a guitar. I was thinking of adding pedals to a no limit input mixer

Cool.  A rochambeau is still on my wishlist - one day!

I like the look of TIDES, a reverb with post-gain stages, swell and external feedback loop

The makers are also working on a new pedal called BLANKETS which from what I can tell is a multi-time step delay with LFO.

Holy Island are fully DIY, they screen print the enclosures and solder everything in-house too.

Lovely stuff, I have their SuperFreq pedal which is a proper noisy filter / gain / fuzz.

IMO not that good. It's serviceable, but nothing special for noise.

I have most of them and they are insane.

Browse around and you will have fun. Currently waiting for their reverb

this is a real monster http://www.raingerfx.com/product/dr-freakenstein-fuzz-drff-3-and-igor/
and this is great as well http://www.raingerfx.com/product/air-traffic-controller-white-noisefilter/

but also smaller are nice (delay!!!)

only thing, sometime they just start doing what they want at extreme volume

I just wanted to follow up with this thread and say that I got the Chop Fuzz from Rainger FX because of your posts about it here, and it is indeed a beast.  I love it, though there is still a bit of work to figure out exactly where it should fit in my setup!

they are umpredictable. I keep buying the new stuff (not those drum things that don't sound that exciting)

Have you gotten the Minibar?  I'm just curious how user-friendly that is in reality (not that I seriously want one).  Or any others that are recommended?  The Minidrone also seems tempting.

tiny_tove

I was tempted by the minibar for collection/weirdness purposes but I think I'll get one only if I find it cheap since from what I listened it doesn't really strike as sound.
The Minidrone instead is very good and very useful in your chain.
I also really like the design of the machines themselves. You can see the gentleman behind the project is very into it.
