Although Hands to and its mastermind Jeph Jerman may not be quite as known within die hard Power Electronics or Harsh Noise circles, the legacy of this unique musician speaks for itself. Having released music under the moniquer of Hands to as well as his own name, this visionary has been an unsung hero of his craft, creating genre-shaping classics and pushing boundaries, extending his sounds into realms unknown. There have even been extensive visual documentations of mastermind Jerman sitting in front of peculiar utensils like bowls filled with metal balls conjuring up tasty and refined sounds like the sonic alchemist he is.

,,Klangfigurenn" is the perfect showcase for the talents of Hands to. Rusty scraping dance over waves of crumbling oscillations as wonderful symphonies are formed out of a seeming nothingness. Although the elements can always be traced to a concrete source (hence: musique concrete), there is a certain level of skill in the arrangement and treatment that presents aspects of dark drones and piercing highs that may resemble the more brutish sides of Harsh Noise. Like some kind of audial storyteller, Jerman mixes the beauty of nature with a Noiseman's handywork to form ,,Klangfiguren" - a true work of art. Get it now!

Recorded in and around Tucson, AZ and Seattle, WA from May to July 1995. Mixed and mastered from 4-track at Elm St. Tentressa and For Harry have previously been released on record. Harsh Noise heads awake! Finnish duo Savage Gospel, which features the talents of the one and only Ilkka Vekka known from Haare, releases its first full-length onslaught since 2021. "Nothing Makes Sense" clocks at a smooth 33 minutes and is fit to please even those who may be a tad oversaturated with the plethora of releases - but rest assured that Savage Gospel is far above the mediocre status quo! On this recording the trio of I. Vekka, J. Laurila and V. Härkönen show the listener the other dimensions of harsh noise.

Since its first signs of life, the project has worked with prestigious names such as Incapacitants, Cipher Productions, White Centipede Noise, Macronympha and Jakko Vanhala and its seat among Harsh Noise Royalty seems well earned. The three tracks have a distinct feel to them that instantly captures the listener. Waves of mostly feedback-driven Noise ensue and mix with small elements that constantly change and melt into each other. Truly masters at the height of their craft!

Savage Gospel's spirit seems somewhat Japanese, since one immediately imagines two lads shredding in front of a table filled with gear. Still, there is that certain analog throb and heaviness that is distinctly European and unpolished. Be that as it may, "Nothing Makes Sense" is a real treat and should be checked out by any serious aficionado before it's too late!

Presented as a noble double CD edition, ,,Q'Ofja" is the perfect release for those who appreciate Hands to's harsher and noisier side. This roughly 90 minutes of material actually stems from the late 80ies and could be seen as a perfect blend between the finer points of US Noise and the artistic merits of musique concrete. The leading element here is metal junk and there is enough of it to spoil even the greediest aficionado. The opening track ,,X2" proves this without a doubt, as squeaking loops meet unhinged bashing in audial bliss. However, as the journey goes on, Hands To even venture into more experimental territories, presenting symphonies that slightly resemble the more technical Japanese cut-up artists. ,,Q'Ofja" is a killer release and also a landmark monument of Noise history. Mandatory!

European Filth Supremacy returns triumphantly! Cronaca Nera, a closely knit circle of well-established Italian Noise perverts, presents its newest album "VHS". And just like with the format the album is named after, the sound offer pure analogue filth in the old vein. Forgotten and forlorn - only for the very few. The act is known for high quality releases on well-established labels and this album is no exception.

Cronaca Nera deliver a monolith of black vitriol situated somewhere between Death Industrial ala bella Italia and more up-front European PE and the results are absolutely crushing. Loads of variation, aggression and tense, uneasy blackness go hand in hand, lulling the listener in while molesting him at the same time. "VHS" is a real gem and another huge step for this gang of Italian smut peddlers.

Those who like domination, filthy porn and the pleasures of vice are heavily urged to pick this new album by Cronaca Nera up immediately.

For the last few years, Absolute Key has been releasing a variety of highly sophisticated and innovative releases on various labels. With Ei Meidän Kotimme , frontman Antti Klemi, who some may know from projects such as Circle of Ouroboros and Valtakunta, displays his impressive skills and feeling for experimental soundscapes.

Ei Meidän Kotimme mostly consists of organic sound sources whose sounds make the listener remember the most acquired usage of scrap metal that have been skillfully arranged to form true compositions of semi-experimental sound. These parts are backed by deep drones and Industrial elements reminiscent of broken machinery and some of the more recent broken sound type endeavours. The results are nothing short of amazing and leave no doubt that this is indeed the work of a true visionary.

Although Ei Meidän Kotimme by Absolute Key is not the easier listening experience imagineable, those open to genuine skill and craft will be sure to appreciate the sounds and arrangements presented. This is not to be missed and a one of a kind release that still has that deepness and bite of the old days of experimental Industrial.

Finnish mystery man Le Kriz An presents his first official release Unmeaningful. Expect nothing but full frontal assault Harsh Noise from the empire of sonic innovation. The artist has not released anything yet, but is known from some live actions which were well received by old and new fans of the craft, making him one of the freshest and highly anticipated newcomers.

The tracks on Unmeaningful present a varied and skilled showcase for Harsh Noise bliss, in which Le Kriz An blends various approaches into an interestingly compiled whole. Some tracks make heavy use of virtues found in the field of Harsh Noise Wall, relying heavily on greyish and crackly textures. Yet there is always tasty modulation or cutting Feedback going on that keeps the compositions fresh and varied. Other parts mostly consist of Feedback worship, presenting cutting and painful sounds reminiscent of 90ies Harsh Noise.

Le Kriz An Unmeaningful should not be missed by the acquired Noise aficionado. Experience old school harshness dipped in Euro Noise cynicism flavoured with crackling elements. A truly strong debut that should not go unnoticed.
