It's a master thesis for Victoria University of Wellington, and is 149 pages.
I've read 20 of them so far, and scrolled around.
I may read the whole thing. It's very comprehensive and may stir some creativity or inspiration.
The focus is on "residual culture" basically, in that it encapsulates the use of technology by poor people to usurp pop culture, and to some degree usher in new "urban cultures".
There is a good amount of talk about odd releases with bizarre packaging.
