met the guy twice in the past few months while crossing paths with peter sotos at various shows around Chicago. very nice and down to earth gentleman, but even he could not give me much help in trying to track down his written work in the states.

anyone have any worthwhile information/reviews of his written output?

thanks!

Commodity Called Sex -book was anonymous, but one could assume his connection to some of the writing
Guide To Abuse -book, same thing
Clean -book
Destiny -book
contributions to IOPS #1 zine

That's what I know. There was some extremely small editions of his own thing too. I recall like 7 copies. But editions have gotten smaller. CCS was 500? GTA 100? And two latest books merely 50.  Anyone into getting copies, it's probably last chances to do so. mailorder at: www.cfprod.com/fa

I had Commodity but assumed it was all written by whoever published it & they were from the UK. I typed his name into the FA search & came up with nothing. I dont' remember anything in Commodity that was even mildly interesting... Any of Fremann's writing online? 7 copies, what's the point unless it just for friends?

I liked both books on IOPS. Much more so than my limited exposure to Sotos. There seems to be more of a point being made. And there's humor.

perhaps a typo? mikko said "But editions have gotten smaller." 500 is less than 7? still, private editions of tapes are seen in such numbers still.

no, it was 7 copies I think and yes, for friends.
Book or "preview" that came before the 2 latest ones. I think some of that stuff was on the new book.

I guess the point is, that the demand for "transgressive" literature is not that big. Everybody gives impression they're into books and they read, but when it comes to material like this, "demand" is not that big.

regardless, i have ordered the two books still available from FreakAnimal. excited to get those.

now on the lookout for IOPS journal #1 (since i believe it is OOP) and ACCS and AGTA.
.....

i actually agree here, in that there are just not that many people interested in this type of literature. a cult-ish underground, but even out of those, only a few actually read the written work.
for instance, while i am a fan of Peter Sotos, i dont think he would be as much of a cult figure as he is if that whole situation of his arrest didnt happen. people hear that story and are immediately drawn to it for being "risque" (which is why it is always at least touched upon in interviews happening today), they end up buying the books, and let them sit untouched on shelves.

maybe this is getting too far off topics, but i would like to hear anyone else's favorite "transgressive" authors.

I dont' think I read the piece in IOPS. Meant to but was distracted. Will dig it out.

Seems like the audience for Sotos has shrunk if you go by lim.ed.'s from Creation compared to the earlier bks they published properly (trade paperbacks in a reasonably # & not sky-high prices). Or maybe all of the limed's are intentional except I think he said in an interview he was tired of all that along with signing them...?

Are there still websites of ultra-violent sexual fiction?

Any info on the AV PROJECT zine bundle? I remember seeing this on FA mailorder list a year or two ago and kinda regret not getting it back then. I assume it's very hard to find now, so would be nice to hear comments from anyone who has it.
