This type of episode is also nice study of sort of "scenes within scene" or "micro trends". Something being "popular" or happening frequently at specific time and space and then suddenly much less so.
Geographic location. Often favors local, or something you relate to, rather than something based on research and evaluation. Sometimes clearly more social aspect. The best is what friend did and gave, not like one checked out much else.
It is curious to think that now in 2026, gap of time from covid noise boom is about the same as late 90's to mid 00's "noise peak". Or possibly the hot years of Japanese noise. Etc.. so it does make one think what all has changed when now looking at the noise scene - also in sense of what is the "new good stuff".
