Having enjoyed The New Boyfriends 3 and also recent Lusters tape, looking for recommendations of harsh noise with saxophone. Aware of Maranata, Wiese/Mumma groups, classic Borbeto/Voice Crack collabs etc. but majority of "noise jazz" stuff leans toward more free improv side than full-on noise attack with sax blast... anyone?

Baglady

Wasteland Jazz Unit covers the spectrum from free form jazz to ripping noise. This is a noisy one of their's: https://wastelandjazzunit.bandcamp.com/album/assembled-rejection

It is not exactly NOISE with caps on approach, but due being exposed to DISLOCATION (japan) early on with their tapes on noise labels and participation on noise compilations, I didn't associate them as much into improvised music as I did for noise. Anyways, it is somewhere between. There sure is sax and "reeds" used, but always also members doing noisy electronics and it never bound to follow the usual traits of "improv". Sax torment is often really neat ultra-sonic assaults. I will strongly recommend not only quick taster, but listening their works for slightly longer piece to really appreciate how their sets are being build. Band has done also LP, CD etc, but good way to start is 1992 GROSS tape:

Wasteland Jazz Unit had totally slipped my mind when posting this, still need that New Forces tape.

Dislocation link is excellent, figured there must be some Japanese folks doing this, was thinking even some Hijokaidan featured sax but perhaps my imagination...

EDIT: Ah yes, Jazz Hijokaidan, like Sax Ruins!

Balor/SS1535

Not harsh noise, but noisy in other ways: https://www.discogs.com/release/1640881-Various-No-Music-Festival-NO99

I found this comp totally at random at a record store.  I have only listened to a small portion of it, but the first track on the first disc is a long noisy sax jam!

Hakaristi

Great lineup on that No Music comp. Some of the collab tracks sound promising - Pedestrian Deposit/Solmania/Nihilist Spasm or Borbeto-Mania.

The Fuckings are good!

Yes! Sure I've heard some horns on another Taeter release too, was it the Pene Squad split. Dig Diarrheal Blast's nod to the classic manifesto, "We hate Borbetomagus. Piss off John Coltrane. Asshole Painkiller..." heh.

Glad you got the tribute to Hanatarash!
I've been using brass sounds on Taeter tracks for a long time, so much that my friend Paolo eventually joined the "band" on clarinet

Thanks! This session is from 2006 but we decided to record some more later this year.

The Alan Licht / Tamio Shiraishi: Our Lips Are Sealed CD on RRR/Pure is a very noisy and screechy 20 minutes.

The late works of Masayuki Takayanagi absolutely need a mention. Sounds like if Fushitsusha was a jazz group.

There's also the Wolf Eyes & Anthony Braxton collaboration, but the former record is a lot more consistently noisy.
