BASTARD NOISE - A CULTURE OF MONSTERS

MAN IS THE BASTARD - BASTARD NOISE THE LOST MITB SESSIONS

SPLIT CD - BASTARD NOISE / BIZARRE UPROAR

BASTARD NOISE - THE PROGRESSION OF SICKNESS

MAN IS THE BASTARD - ANGER & ENGLISH

I have a couple 7" split's with Bizarre Uproar, Hail to The Finnish Sound Masters, Galactic Penitentiary and a repeated release of a 7" that's a 10". I do set up goals of months to do things. December through February was F&V cassettes, March was F&V UK Division. And now a bit of a shift I consider this Man Is The Bastard/Bastard Noise appreciation month(for me). Might sound silly but seems right for me. Other than my sharing of this, could anyone point me to anymore distribution or label with MITB/BN? headliner Records has a sweet batch of goods I just would like future reference...

Eric seems to do releases across several labels currently.  If you are looking for things, it might be easiest to just contact him personally.

I found out by surprise today, that there was new Budrūs – Ten Buvai Tu CD/tape released already some time ago. Never heard or read about it before.
I have not listened to it yet, but it also can be found on youtube.

Unbelievable to see an S*Core reissue happening.
Is there any chance of Industrial Recollections releasing further reissues from the project, considering you interviewed Tanaka some years back?

Apes Clog Snag

Just Glittering/Idwal Fisher collection is a joy to read. From nonsense reader letters to the worst toilet experience reported by Dieter Müh. Also a second interview of Stabat Mors I know of. And it's complete nonsense. It's a lot to discover for someone who only knew Idwal Fisher through the blog. Can't recommend enough.

Budrus, I am not sure, but for many years I had master bending for a release. Never really became clear should it be tape or CD and contact was lost at some point and material never came out. Unless, it is this one!

S*Core, what I know of artists, he was firmly not interested in reissues at the time of making SI#12 interview. It was his past and not motivated to do anything. I have no knowledge if he changed his mind, but I am tempted to assume Staalplaat may have done small edition based on fact that they once made the tape version. Just assumption.

How silly am I for generally shying away from CDr? I had one or two that didn't play well, so that scared me off of them. Is durabilty (10 years?) an issue?

(Yes, there's all kinds of info online, but I want to hear from Noiseheads on this.)

I have a ton of CDrs from Love Earth Music that all play/sound fantastically.  My understanding is that present-day CDrs are much higher quality and have a significantly longer lifespan than in the past.

Not preconceptions/thinking. Reality. Burnt speed, software/hardware, material's quality, storage/handling. Age is A factor, of many. Some old CDRs play better than the recent ones.

I buy CDRs. If 1/10 doesn't play in 5 years, OK, I accept. If It doesn't play Now, upon production, then, man, do it better, it's not that difficult.

First or second play of CDR is to rip it, just in any case. To see it's quality after all, and to be 'safe' . Modern software tells everything, if you know what you use and set.

I have had handful of CDR's that skip, or are no longer recognized by players. That is very very small minority and almost without exception, CDR's work just fine.
So one could think new CDR I would buy now, would be perfectly listenable till I'm dead and gone? Still, there is the chemical process in CDR that will detoriate it sooner or later. CD that has no manufacturing errors and vinyl LP's are pretty much eternal - in sense what anything in this world is. That is kind of inspiring idea. Opposition to disposable, temporary trash that clutters everything. I rather feel noise album should be almost like ancient sculpture that will be withnessed long after culture itself has vanished or transformed into unrecognizeable form. Does it *really* make sense is kind of unimportant, when it is more about mindset.

In other hand, I feel CDR would be good for a lot of things. When they cost next to nothing, doing promo CDR, advance recordings, give-aways. Gig releases. Why not. You could even sell them for like 3 bucks or something. Even less. When there is no big investments you need to recoup, there is no really reason why CDR should be expensive. I can think plenty reasons why I'd prefer CDR instead of bandcamp link.

Yes, they re-release everything slowly, one after another. I think no discussions/permissions. Good luck doing this with an old VA. Honestly , if I hadn't the most interesting originals, I would be thankful they do it. Now I skip, and I recommend everyone who doesn't have, to buy.

I have to say i m confused about who is behind Staalplaat nowdays, during time, ever. I haven't contacted them ever to order directly and figure out.

PS: I want to write a rant about reissues, but no time, and I am not sure what I believe really. I am approaching it selfishly [?], Yes. But more good reissues than new good stuff in comparison? I think this happens . Or that is just what I am paying attention to ?

Fascinating!
